Family Therapy
"Everyone needs a house to live in, but a supportive family is what builds a home." -Anthony Liccone

Family members are connected to one another. For better or worse, what affects one can affect all. Physical, mental, and behavioral issues along with life transitions can throw a family out of balance. When issues arise, family therapy can help to reconnect and support each member and the family as a whole. Together we will address the needs of each family member to develop harmony and balance in your family.

Parenting

Feel connected and at peace with your parenting

Since becoming a parent myself, my mantra has been: Parenting is the hardest, best thing I will ever do. Society can feel highly judgmental towards parents. What was perfectly acceptable parenting when you were growing up has shifted. There will never  be a manual but there is a way to feel connected and at peace with your parenting. Like other aspects of life, our approach to parenting is shaped by our personal histories, burdens, dreams, and interactions with others. I can partner with you to understand your parenting philosophy, to achieve your parenting goals, and to ensure you leave the best behind for your children—all while adding to your parenting tool kit.

Couples can struggle with parenting too, especially when philosophies differ between parents. I can work with both parents to explore feelings around parenting, how it affects the couple relationship, and where compromise and unity can be found.

Co-parenting in separate households has its unique challenges as well. Often rules vary from house to house and kids can struggle with transitions. Add a conflictual separation or divorce to the equation and things start feeling really complicated. In these cases, I can work with one or both co-parents to identify the issues and work to compromise for the well-being of their children.
